'Life After Life in Prison': Photographs by Sara Bennett

Life After Life in Prison introduces us to Carol, Evelyn, Keila and Tracy, who spent anywhere from 17-35 years in a New York State maximum security prison. They were photographed by Sara Bennett, a former criminal defense attorney, who wanted to give a face to “long-termers.” Bennett’s images offer a glimpse of the women’s dignity, patience and perseverance as they rebuild their lives in the face of societal hurdles.

This exhibition opens on June 15 with an opening reception. In conjunction with the opening, all four women will participate in a panel conversation.

6:30 - 7:30 pm: opening reception

Exhibit runs June 15 through July 17, 2016.
